The Moving Wall
The Moving Vietnam Memorial Wall will be erected in Wilmington and on Display from JULY 26th through JULY 30th, 2018. The Moving Wall, a 50% sized exact replica of the Vietnam War Memorial Wall in Washington DC, will be erected on the Town Common in Wilmington, MA on Thursday July 26th. Opening Ceremonies begin promptly at 7:00 pm Additional ceremonies are planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings as well. This is an historic event for the Town of Wilmington and for the entire region. Particular honor will be paid to four men from Wilmington who gave their lives in the Vietnam War. Their names are Richard Welch, John Rich, John Fullarton, and Robert Parent. In addition, attention will be dedicated to the area’s Gold Star Mothers (those who have lost sons or daughters to war-time conflict), Public Safety Professionals (Police, Fire) and all branches of the military.
The Wall is OPEN TO PUBLIC and FREE OF CHARGE, for 24 HOURS A DAY
