Inventory Associate

The Inventory Associate is responsible for assisting with the inventory department’s day-to-day operations.   Inventory Associates work with direct supervision of Inventory/Retail Leadership and reports directly to the Inventory Manager. 

Core Tasks and Responsibilities -

  • Conducts daily hard counts of all inventory.
  • Assists with daily, weekly, and monthly inventory audits while ensuring compliance at all times (including product, accessories and apparel).
  • Receives internal LRP wholesale deliveries and external vendor product deliveries.
  • Imports/receives into internal and State systems (making sure the paper work and product matches).
  • Oversees inventory levels of current stock in real-time and replenishes Order Fulfillment when necessary.
  • Notifies Inventory Leadership to consistently communicate low threshold item availability.
  • Monitor product expiration dates.
  • Assist in Retail Waste Disposal.
  • Assist in Order Fulfillment when necessary.
  • Creates Product Masters in Dutchie for all inventory items except for internal products.
  • Minimizes inventory shrinkage by following a Master FIFO Inventory Schedule of Production and Packaging inventory to ensure the shelf-life quality of all perishable stock items.
  • Assist Inventory Leadership with audits of vaults/non-cannabis items, restock, receiving deliveries.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience -

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Inventory experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Dutchie is a plus.

 

Physical Requirement/Work Environment –

  • Retail store work environment.
  • Must have the ability to perform work related activities for up to 8 hours a day including repetitive motions and use of hands.
  • This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, and/or crouching.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Knowledge –

  • Administrative — Knowledge of administrative tasks and inventory database.
  • Computer Software — Knowledge of Windows OS, basic computer navigation, and Office 365 applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of state and local cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations of Lazy River Products.

Abilities -

  • Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt with software updates and procedures.
  • Ability to handle and count inventory-related items.
  • The ability to recognize and problem solve.
  • The ability to swiftly organize inventory and prioritize customer orders. 
  • Ability to read small font on small labels to ensure compliance accuracy.

Additional Requirements –

  • Must be 21 years of age or older and comply with all legal or company regulation requirements for working in the industry.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Reliable transportation.
